Obverse description Central field features the royal cypher of King Haakon VII, comprising the interlaced monogram 'H7' in large Gothic characters, surmounted by a stylized Norwegian royal crown. The monogram is set within a raised inner circle, with the circular legend 'KONGERIKET NORGE' (Kingdom of Norway) running along the outer rim, separated by two small ornamental dots. The overall design is spare and heraldic in character, typical of early twentieth-century Scandinavian coinage.
