| Obverse description | The central field features the interlaced royal cipher of King Frederik IX, rendered as a stylised cursive 'FR' surmounted by the Roman numeral 'IX' at the base of the monogram. The entire device is crowned by a detailed royal crown with ermine lining and orb finial.
