Obverse description Royal cypher of Charles XI — the conjoined letters C.R.S. (Carolus Rex Sueciae) — enclosed within a laurel wreath and surmounted by a relatively large royal crown. The crown is notably larger than that seen on the related Type I (KM#241.1), and the wreath itself is of a distinct, differing style, serving as the primary distinguishing features of this subtype. The cypher and crown are rendered in bold relief within a plain field.
