Obverse description Central field displays a crowned shield bearing a rampant lion passant, the royal arms of Sweden, surmounted by an ornate closed crown with orb finial. The date is divided on either side of the shield, with '16' to the left and '64' to the right. The royal cypher 'C·R·S·' (Carolus Rex Sueciae) arcs across the upper field above the crown. The entire design is encircled by a wreath of laurel or olive branches rendered in low relief, characteristic of the hammered copper coinage of the period.

Reverse description Central field features the Swedish national arms: a shield bearing three crowns arranged two-over-one, surmounted by an elaborate closed royal crown with orb finial. To the left of the shield the denomination numeral '2' and below it the initial 'K' appear, while to the right the abbreviation 'ÖR' and below it 'M·' (Kunglig Mynt, Royal Mint) are struck in bold relief. A mint mark or ornamental device appears at the base of the shield. The design is bordered by a wreath of laurel branches in the typical style of mid-17th-century Swedish copper coinage.
