Obverse description The State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — is positioned at the upper border of the obverse field. To the left of the emblem, the Hebrew mint year 5753 (התשנ״ג) is inscribed, while the word 'Israel' appears to the right in Hebrew, Arabic, and English. The face value '2 New Sheqalim' is rendered in both Hebrew (שקלים חדשים) and English, with the Gregorian mint year 1993 inscribed below, accompanied by the Hebrew mint mark מ.

Reverse description The reverse presents an allegorical composition celebrating Israeli tourism. A stylized sun rises above a seascape in which a sailing vessel navigates the water. In the foreground, a hotel room key with a tag inscribed 'Israel' in both English and Hebrew is prominently featured. Two archaeological motifs frame the design: a classical column characteristic of the late Second Temple period and a carved stone lintel from the ancient synagogue at Bar'am. The legends 'ישראל' and 'ISRAEL' appear within the design.
