Obverse description The obverse features the State of Israel emblem — a menorah flanked by olive branches with the legend 'ישראל' — positioned at the upper center of the field. A griffon vulture in flight is depicted in finely detailed relief at the left, its wings fully spread, soaring above a stylized rocky landscape rendered in a matte finish. The large numeral '2' occupies the right portion of the field. Below the central design, the legends 'שקלים חדשים' and 'NEW SHEKELS' appear in Hebrew and Latin script respectively, accompanied by the dual date '2022 / התשפ"ב', a mint mark, and the trilingual country name 'ISRAEL / ישראל / إسرائيل' along the lower rim.
