| Reverse description | Central square hole flanked by two Chinese characters in the fields. The character 禁 (Kum/Geum) appears in the upper field, denoting the Forbidden Guard Military Unit (Geumwiyeong) as the issuing mint authority. The character 盈 (Yong/Yeong) appears in the lower field, serving as a series or batch designation meaning 'Full.' The fields are plain and flat, consistent with the cast production technique standard to Joseon Dynasty cash coinage. |

The "small type" 2 Mun designation distinguishes this issue from heavier, earlier castings produced under the same nominal denomination — a distinction that matters because Joseon's cash coinage was never minted in the modern sense but cast in sand molds at a rotating network of government foundries, each identified by a reverse mint inscription. By the mid-eighteenth century, currency debasement and unauthorized private casting had become serious enough that the central government repeatedly attempted to standardize weights through new type classifications, which is precisely why the "small type" category exists at all.
The "Kum" designation identifies the casting authority as the Forbidden Military Office (Kümwiyŏng), one of Seoul's Five Military Commands.
