Reverse description The reverse displays two Chinese characters flanking the central square hole, serving as mint and series identifiers. The character 尙 (Sang), appearing in the upper field, identifies the issuing authority as the Gyeongsang Provincial Office (慶尚監營, Kyongsang Kamyong), located in modern-day Daegu, South Korea. The character 徃 (Wang), appearing in the lower field, denotes the serial number within the mint's production sequence. Both characters are cast in relief in regular script against a plain field.
