Reverse description The reverse displays two Chinese characters arranged around the central square perforation: 平 (Pyong, referring to the Pyong'an Provincial Office mint) positioned above the hole, and 二 (二, meaning 'two', denoting the denomination of 2 Mun) positioned below. The characters are cast in bold raised relief within a plain field, bounded by a raised inner square rim surrounding the perforation and a plain outer rim. The surface exhibits green and brown patination consistent with aged copper.
