| Obverse description | Three horizontal bands of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy fill the coin's field, bearing a Persian couplet in praise of Mahmud Shah. The inscription is arranged in sweeping curved lines conforming to the irregular flan, with foliate rosette ornaments and pellet clusters interspersed between the lines. The script is deeply struck and characteristic of the hand-struck Durrani gold coinage style. No figurative imagery is present, in accordance with Islamic numismatic convention. |

| Reverse description | Three horizontal bands of bold Nasta'liq calligraphy occupy the entire reverse field, recording the mint name Bahawalpur and the regnal year formula in Persian. Decorative rosette and pellet ornaments punctuate the text between lines, consistent with Durrani imperial coinage conventions. The legends are deeply incised on the irregularly shaped gold flan, typical of hammered production at provincial mints. The overall layout mirrors the obverse in its tripartite banded arrangement. |
