| Obverse description | Central field displays the mint formula and regnal year date enclosed within a linear quadrate border. Surrounding the central cartouche, a circular invocation legend citing Shah Nur al-Din is arranged along the periphery. The entire design is set against an intricate floral arabesque background, executed in the traditional hammered style characteristic of Afghan gold coinage of the early nineteenth century. |
