Obverse description Central field bears eight Chinese ideograms arranged in a columnar layout, reading from top to bottom and right to left, denoting the reign title Guangxu, the denomination of two qian, and the issuing authority of the Kashgar silver coin mint. The characters are rendered in bold relief against a flat field. The coin is bordered by a continuous reeded or beaded rim encircling the entire design.
