Reverse description Central Arabic legend occupying the majority of the field, citing the AH date, denomination of 2 Mithqual, and the Aksu mint. The inscription is densely surrounded by an elaborate floral and foliate wreath composed of scrolling vines and stylised rosette blossoms that fill the entire field. The overall design is boldly struck with deeply engraved decorative elements characteristic of Xinjiang provincial coinage of the late Qing period. The reeded border frames the composition on all sides.
