| Reverse description | A bold, plain cross with equal arms occupies the central field, enclosed within a raised beaded or toothed inner circle that clearly demarcates the legend area. The cross arms extend nearly to the inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants, a standard type for feudal Low Countries mites of the period. The outer legend in uncial Latin script runs around the full circumference. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with hand-hammered production. Green and golden patination from long burial or circulation is evident across the entire surface. |
