| Obverse description | Central device depicts a camel postman in full stride, facing left, with a rider dressed in traditional Sudanese attire and carrying a rifle and spear, with a mail bag suspended from the saddle. Rocky desert terrain is suggested in the lower field on either side of the camel. The dual date in Arabic-Indic and Western numerals appears in the lower exergual area, reading the Hijri year followed by the Gregorian year. |
