Comments

The French Treasury issued this note for use in the French occupation zone of Germany following the Allied victory, part of a series of Allied Military Currency adapted for French administrative use. Unlike the joint AMC issues shared across occupation zones, the French Treasury marks were distinct instruments tied specifically to French-controlled territory in the Rhineland and southwestern Germany.

Deloche, Munier, and Bornet were all established Imprimerie Nationale engravers — their involvement signals this was treated as a serious domestic production rather than a rushed military expedient.
