Reverse description The Imperial German eagle displayed, with wings spread, head turned to the right, surmounted by an imperial crown with ribbon lappets, and bearing on its breast a shield charged with the Hohenzollern arms. The eagle's talons grip orb and sceptre, and a decorative chain with pendant order hangs below the shield. The circular legend DEUTSCHES REICH flanks the eagle at the top, with the date to the right; the denomination ZWEI MARK appears in the lower arc, flanked by six-pointed stars. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
