| Obverse description | Central vignette of a panoramic townscape of Bolkenhain in Silesia, with the ruined hilltop castle dominating the skyline above the town's church spires and residential rooftops, signed 'HANDKE' at lower right of the vignette. Flanking the central scene are two full-length sculptural figures on pedestals — a robed male figure to the left and a crowned female figure to the right — with ornamental floral cartouches below each.
