| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of King Frederick I with elaborate long flowing wig, rendered in high relief in a naturalistic Baroque style. The king is depicted wearing armor with a visible gorget and draped mantle at the shoulder. The effigy is set within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin royal legend disposed around the periphery of the coin. The portrait is finely detailed, with delicate engraving of the hair curls and facial features. The field around the bust is smooth and slightly concave. |
