| Obverse lettering | ° FRIDERIC·3·D·G·DAN·NOR·VAN·GOT·REX ° (Translation: Frederik III Dei Gratia King of Denmark, Norway of the Wends and the Goths.) |
| Reverse description | A large, ornate royal crown dominates the central field, depicted with three arches surmounted by a globus cruciger, resting on a jewelled circlet with elaborate acanthus-leaf and floral decorations at the junctions. Beneath the crown, within a curved scroll in the lower field, appears the royal motto in either Roman or italic lettering depending on the variety. The denomination, mint name, date, and mintmaster's clover-leaf privy mark are distributed within the peripheral legend, separated by pellets, all enclosed within a beaded border. The composition is characteristic of the large-crown type 2 Mark Dansk coinage of Frederik III. |
