Obverse description Central field bears the crowned royal cypher of Christian IV, rendered as a stylized interlaced 'C4' beneath an arched crown. The device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend, also within a beaded border, reads the denomination and date, with the year 1645 appearing at the conclusion of the inscription. The overall design reflects the bold monogram style characteristic of Danish coinage of the early seventeenth century.
