| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black, red, and yellow on white paper with a decorative border. The centre carries a horizontal triptych vignette: flanking dark panels bear large white numeral '2' denominators, while the central colour panel presents a panoramic townscape of Neuhaus above a lower register with a cross motif and harvest imagery. The issuer's name in Gothic blackletter script reads 'Residenzflecken Neuhaus i. W.' above the denomination 'Zwei Mark', with the municipal seal in red wax-style print to the lower left, the legend 'DER GEMEINDEVORSTAND' to the right, and the date 'Neuhaus i. Westfalen, den 1. Nov. 1921' along the bottom in a yellow band. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in yellow, black, and green with a guilloche rope-pattern outer border. The design is divided diagonally into black and yellow triangular fields: the left black diamond bears a portrait vignette of Dr. Friedrich Wilhelm Sertürner, the discoverer of morphine and a native of Neuhaus, rendered in fine line engraving style with curly hair and period dress. The right yellow field presents a colour vignette of Sertürner's birthplace. A central downward-pointing triangle carries the denomination '2 MARK' in ornate script, flanked by diagonal banner inscriptions and star ornaments, with the heading 'Dr. SERTÜRNER' on a ribbon scroll at top. |
