| Obverse description | Yellow-ochre ground with a repeating scroll underprint covers the entire field. At top, the Gothic-script heading "Notgeld der Stadt Lüdinghausen" spans the full width, below which the denomination "Zwei Mark" is set in large blackletter type flanking a central vignette of a crowned bell in red and gold. Two circular medallions at lower left and right each bear the numeral "2" over "Mark" in red on a dark teal ground. At bottom, a validity clause in small Gothic script is followed by the date "Lüdinghausen d. 1. Okt. 1921" and the manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister; the printer's imprint "Fr. Wilh.
