Reverse description The crowned imperial eagle of the German Empire with wings displayed, facing left, bearing upon its breast a quartered shield of the German imperial arms. The eagle is surmounted by a large imperial crown with pendants, and flanked by elaborate acanthus scrollwork at its base. The denomination ZWEI MARK appears in the lower field, while the legend DEUTSCHES REICH with the date 1911 arcs around the upper periphery. Small five-pointed stars flank the lower legend, and the field is enclosed within a dentilated border.
