| Obverse description | Large crowned royal cypher of Frederick V, composed of an interlaced cursive 'F' and 'R' with the numeral '5' at center, occupying the majority of the coin's field. The elaborate foliate crown surmounts the monogram from above. An inscription in the lower portion of the field reads '14 1/2 Tha. d. m. f.', denoting the coin's relationship to the Thaler standard. The milled edge is visible around the coin's irregular round flan. |
