Obverse description Crowned heraldic shield displaying manifold quartered arms, with a central escutcheon bearing the arms of Lorraine, the whole superimposed upon a Maltese cross. The circumferential legend in Latin reads around the periphery of the field, identifying the issuer as Charles, by the grace of God, Administrator of the Teutonic Order and Prince-Bishop of Osnabrück.

Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, a bold three-line denomination inscription reads 'II / MARIEN / GROS' in the central field, flanked by small floral or rosette ornaments, with the mintmaster's initials 'GG' below in the exergue. The circumferential legend around the border reads 'FVRSTL · OSNAB · LAND · MVNTZ ·' and incorporates the date '1714', attributing the coin to the princely Osnabrück territorial mint.
