Obverse description Central field features a stylized Gothic castle of Castile, depicted with three towers, the central tower rising prominently above the flanking ones, all rendered in low relief characteristic of hammered coinage. A dotted inner circle separates the central device from the surrounding circular Latin legend. The inscription FERNANDVS ET ELISABET D G runs along the periphery, partially visible due to the irregular flan and weak strike typical of this issue. A mint mark appears to the right of the castle. The overall style reflects the late medieval Iberian minting tradition of Ferdinand and Isabella.
