Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the Vytis, the Lithuanian state coat of arms, depicting an armoured knight on horseback galloping to the left, brandishing a sword in his raised right hand and bearing a shield decorated with a double cross on his left arm. The legend 'LIETUVA' arcs along the upper portion of the aluminium bronze outer ring, while '2 LITAI' appears along the lower arc. The mint mark of the Lithuanian Mint appears to the right of the central device within the inner field.

Reverse description The copper-nickel centre displays a finely detailed depiction of a traditional Lithuanian distaff (verpstė), a wooden spindle used in folk textile crafts, rendered in low relief and ornamented with intricately engraved floral and geometric folk motifs.
