| Obverse description | At left, an oval intaglio vignette set within an ornate scrollwork frame presents the allegorical head of Italia in profile facing right, crowned with a laurel wreath; the inscription ITALIA arches above the vignette and MINISTERO DEL TESORO runs below, both contained within the frame. The denomination DVE LIRE is rendered in large letterpress type at centre, surmounted by the legend BIGLIETTO DI STATO A CORSO LEGALE, with serial numbers at each corner. Signature lines for the Direttore Generale del Tesoro f.f., the Cassiere Speciale, and the Corte dei Conti are printed along the lower margin. |
