Obverse description Central device comprising a crowned oval shield bearing the arms of Luxembourg, elaborately framed with rocaille and foliate decorative mantling in the baroque style. The shield is flanked by ornamental scrollwork and set within a beaded inner circle. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central device, with an outer dentilated or cable girdle forming the border.
