Additional information

Issued to mark the 1980 Moscow Olympics, Bulgaria produced a series of commemorative coins across multiple denominations, this being one of the copper-nickel entries in that run. The Soviet bloc nations treated the Moscow Games as a prestige exercise, and Bulgarian state minting output reflected that — commemorative programs from this period were extensive and broadly distributed through Balkantourist and foreign coin dealers rather than domestic circulation channels.

KM#108 is common in surviving quantity and typically surfaces in original packaging.
