| Obverse description | Central device consists of the Greek royal coat of arms: a quartered shield bearing a bold Greek cross, the quarters filled with horizontal lines, set upon a pointed cartouche shield form. The shield is surmounted by a large royal crown with arched bands, orb, and cross finial.
