| Reverse description | Bare-headed, truncated bust of Ahmed Zogu facing right, modelled in bold high relief with finely detailed hair and a strong classical profile. The legend AMET ZOGU curves around the periphery, with AMET at the left and ZOGU at the right, separated by the portrait. The engravers' signatures G. ROMAGNOLI and A. MOTTI INC. are inscribed in small lettering below the bust truncation. The field is otherwise plain, focusing full attention on the powerfully sculpted effigy. The portrait reflects the monumental neoclassical style employed by the Rome Mint's principal engravers of the late 1920s. |
