| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mehmed V, rendered in fine relief with characteristic elongated vertical strokes and interlocking loops. An Arabic inscription appears to the upper right of the tughra in the field. Below the tughra, an Arabic legend is present in the lower field. The entire design is enclosed within a border of evenly spaced five-pointed stars interspersed around the coin's circumference, surrounded by a finely milled inner rim and an outer beaded border. |
