Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Selim III, rendered in the second type style with characteristic interlocking loops, sweeping horizontal strokes (hayt), and vertical shafts (tuğ) rising prominently above the monogram. The tughra fills the majority of the flan and serves as the principal device, executed in bold relief. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, itself surrounded by a rope or cable outer border running along the coin's rim.

Reverse description The reverse bears a two-line Arabic inscription in bold calligraphic script occupying the central field, reading 'Duriba fi Islambol' (Struck in Istanbul), with the AH regnal year 1203 inscribed in large Eastern Arabic numerals beneath. The legend is arranged in a stacked, centered layout across the flan. The design is framed by a beaded inner border and a rope or cable outer border consistent with the obverse, giving the coin a uniform decorative surround.
