Reverse description Two European pine martens (kuna) are depicted in the central field, running to the left, with the large numeral 2 placed above them denoting the face value. A wreath of wheat ears encircles the entire design along the inner edge. The old Croatian coat of arms — a checkerboard shield — is positioned at the bottom of the field beneath the martens. The composition reflects the dual symbolism of Croatian national identity through both the heraldic shield and the pine marten, the namesake of the kuna currency.
