Reverse description A long cross divides the field into four quadrants, with a four-fold quartered shield superimposed at the center intersection. Two concentric legend bands encircle the design: the inner legend reads ANO` - DOMI - M*CC - CCC4 and the outer legend reads DA PAC - EM, the latter being a devotional peace invocation characteristic of late medieval Low German coinage.
