Obverse description Stylized bare-headed effigy of King Gustaf VI Adolf facing left, rendered in a boldly sculptural style with deeply incised parallel lines defining the hair. The circumferential legend reads GUSTAF VI ADOLF SVERIGES KONUNG, arranged around the portrait along the rim. The mintmaster's monogram appears above the crown of the head at the top of the field, and the mintmaster's initial U is placed below the truncation near the bottom of the rim.
