Reverse description The reverse presents a bold allegorical composition commemorating Norwegian independence. A circular chain of five pairs of clasped hands — symbolising national unity and popular solidarity — frames the central field, with ornate chain links connecting each pair at the wrists. Within this wreath-like border, a radiating sunburst motif fills the background behind the three-line commemorative inscription. The legend NORGES UAFHÆNGIGHED GJENNEMFØRT 1905 is displayed in four lines across the centre of the field in raised serif lettering, translating as 'Norway's Independence Accomplished 1905'.
