Antalócz was one of several Austro-Hungarian prisoner-of-war labor camp installations that issued their own internal scrip during the First World War, administered under the k.u.k. War Ministry's industrial labor groups. These Lagergeld notes functioned as a closed monetary system — prisoners received wages for compelled labor, which could only be spent within the camp canteen, preventing any accumulation of spendable currency that might finance escape attempts or contact with the outside population.

The issuing authority — the 12th Department's industrial group — points to organized labor exploitation rather than simple internment. Campbell's listing remains sparse on surviving population data.
