Obverse description Crowned quartered coat of arms of Hanau-Lichtenberg displayed within a laurel wreath, the shield featuring the lion of Lichtenberg and the triple bars of Hanau among other quarterings. The date appears divided at the top of the field, flanking the crown, with mint-master initials in the lower field to either side of the arms. The wreath frames the central device in a symmetrical decorative arrangement typical of small German territorial coinage of the mid-seventeenth century.

Reverse description Multi-line Latin inscription within a laurel wreath, identifying the issuing territory and denomination. The legend reads across five lines within the wreath, with decorative floral or rosette elements above and below. The wreath is tied at the base, and the reverse composition is entirely typographic, characteristic of small-denomination German kreuzer coinage of the period.
