| Reverse description | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the central field, with a orb on the breast bearing the letter Z (denoting the 2 Kreuzer denomination). The wings are spread and the two crowned heads face outward. A continuous Latin legend carrying the remaining titles of Ferdinand I runs around the periphery within a beaded border, typical of Habsburgian coinage of the period. |

| Additional information |
Ferdinand I established the Joachimsthal mint in the early sixteenth century specifically to process silver from the exceptionally productive St. Joachim's Valley mines — the same mines whose output was so dominant that the coins struck there gave the world the word "dollar," via "Joachimsthaler." By the 1560s, production at Joachimsthal was declining sharply as the richest veins exhausted, and this small kreuzers issue falls within that contraction period. MB#145 is not a common attribution in dealer stocks, and survivors with readable mint signatures command attention accordingly.
