| Reverse description | The Imperial Russian coat of arms occupies the central field: a crowned double-headed eagle displayed with wings elevated, clutching a sceptre in the dexter talon and a globus cruciger in the sinister. On the eagle's breast, a round escutcheon bears the arms of Moscow — Saint George the Victorious on horseback, courant, transfixing a winged serpentine dragon with his lance. The escutcheon is encircled by the chain of the Order of Saint Andrew the First-Called, and the composition is surmounted by the Imperial crown. The date 1740 appears above the eagle and the denomination legend ДВЕ КОПЕИКИ 2 КО is inscribed below. |
