| Obverse description | The obverse features a central legend in large Chinese characters reading 貳角 (2 Jiao) and 銀幣 (silver coin), arranged within a beaded inner circle. A small floral rosette occupies the centre. The outer field bears the inscription 雲南省造 (Made in Yunnan Province) at the top and 中華民國三十八年 (Republic of China Year 38) along the lower arc, flanked by decorative floral ornaments at either side.
