| Obverse description | The obverse features a stylized composition rendered in the manner of early book covers, depicting open volumes flanked by horsemen on each side. The small National Emblem of Ukraine (trident) appears in the upper field above the legend УКРАЇНА (Ukraine), with the denomination 2 ГРИВНІ and date 2005 inscribed beneath in the lower field. The mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Banknote Printing and Minting Works is also present in the lower field. The overall design evokes the literary and cultural aesthetic of early Ukrainian printed editions. |
