| Reverse description | At center, a stylized figural composition depicts the Archer (Sagittarius), rendered in a conventionalized artistic manner consistent with the broader Ukrainian zodiac coin series. A constellation of stars surrounds the central figure, among which the zodiacal symbol for Sagittarius is incorporated, serving as both an astronomical and decorative element within the composition. The field is unlettered, with the design relying entirely on symbolic imagery to convey the coin's theme. |

Part of Ukraine's long-running zodiac bullion series, this piece was issued by the National Bank of Ukraine at a time when the country was aggressively expanding its commemorative and investment coin program following the hryvnia's stabilization in the early 2000s. The fractional gold zodiac coins were struck in extremely limited quantities — typically in the hundreds rather than thousands — making survivors in original condition genuinely difficult to locate.
The Zahreba reference places it firmly within the established Ukrainian numismatic catalog, though secondary market documentation for individual zodiac issues remains thinner than for the bank's silver commemorative output.
