Issued to mark the 75th anniversary of Kyivmiskbud, the state construction trust responsible for a significant share of Kyiv's postwar residential and civic building. Founded in 1930 during the Soviet industrialization drive, the enterprise built much of the capital's prefabricated housing stock through the Khrushchev-era panel construction boom. Ukraine's commemorative 2 hryvni series of the 2000s used nickel brass bimetallic and single-metal formats to document exactly this kind of institutional history — organizations that shaped daily Soviet and post-Soviet life but rarely appear in conventional historiography.
