| Obverse description | At the upper portion of the coin, against a smooth background, the small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine (tryzub) is displayed with the legend УКРАЇНА arranged to its right. Occupying the central field, rendered against a matt background, is a facing portrait of the artist Kazimir Malevich in a stylized, abstracted manner consistent with his Suprematist aesthetic. Below the portrait, the denomination and date 2 ГРИВНІ / 2019 are inscribed, and the mint mark of the NBU Banknote Printing and Minting Works appears to the lower left of the portrait. |
