Reverse description The reverse bears a finely detailed naturalistic depiction of a Eurasian Eagle-Owl (Bubo bubo) perched upon an oak branch, rendered in high relief with careful attention to feather texture and form. The bird faces left in a three-quarter view against a plain field. Two circular inscriptions surround the central motif: the Cyrillic legend ПУГАЧ (the Ukrainian common name for the species) and the scientific binomial BUBO BUBO in Latin characters, arcing around the design.
