Obverse description Central device comprising the quartered ducal arms of Saxony, displaying alternating horizontal barry and a central palar rute, set within an ornate baroque cartouche with scrolling foliate mantling. The shield is surmounted by a ducal coronet. No peripheral legend; the design fills the field in high relief typical of small German state coinage of the mid-18th century.
